Product Design
When planning the seasonal trends, there is extra focus on trend research. Then the most important product trends are determined and the design process begins. Since new trends pop up all the time, scanning for trends and product development never stops. The product design process first starts with an iterative process of making rough sketches and then the sketch, print, product is put together in a spec pack to be sent out to production.
Rough sketches
When planning what to design, it is time to make rough sketches of items to discuss with the buyer. After determining what items are the best, the items sketched in Illustrator, Photoshop and/or Rhino 3D. Next the spec pack is made before being sent to the manufacturer who makes the prototype.
